New to sewing? This is the class for you! Students will learn to navigate and operate a basic machine safely. Some beginner sewing techniques such as straight stitch, zig zag stitch and a double turn hem will be included. At the end of the session you will know how to use your machine and make a tote bag. Materials are included in the course fee. Tools are not provided for this class, you must bring your own. Add on a Beginner Sewing Kit that includes the tools needed to attend all of our classes. *Open to participants aged 14 and over

We’ll also cover tips for shaping and finishing details to give your hat its signature dramatic silhouette. By the end of class, you’ll head home with your very own quilted hat ready for market days, fairytale adventures, and summer festival season!
