In this fun and creative class, you’ll learn how to make a quilted statement hat inspired by cottagecore style, woodland wanderers, and Renaissance faire fashion. Perfect for festivals, costumes, or simply adding a whimsical handmade piece to your wardrobe. You’ll learn how to cut, piece, quilt, and assemble your hat so it’s both sturdy and beautifully shaped. We’ll also cover tips for shaping and finishing details to give your hat its signature dramatic silhouette. By the end of class, you’ll head home with your very own quilted hat ready for market days, fairytale adventures, and summer festival season!

New to sewing? This is the class for you! Students will learn to navigate and operate a basic machine safely. Some beginner sewing techniques such as straight stitch, zig zag stitch and a double turn hem will be included. At the end of the session you will know how to use your machine and make a tote bag. Materials are included in the course fee.
