Galentine’s Day Upcycled Sweater Workshop

Celebrate creativity, friendship, and a little bit of cozy crafting!

Join us for a fun and beginner-friendly Galentine’s Day sewing class where you’ll transform an ordinary sweatshirt into a one-of-a-kind wearable piece of art. Using a simple quilt-block design, you’ll learn how to upcycle a sweater with a bold, beautiful patchwork motif—no prior sewing experience needed!

What We’ll Make

You’ll create a quilt-block panel and stitch it onto the front of your sweatshirt. This project is perfect for customizing a new sweater or covering up an old design (as long as it’s 12" × 12" or smaller).

Materials Needed

• A precut pack of 5" squares or at least 9 different fabrics you can cut a 5" square from

• 1 fat quarter of plain fabric for the backing

• Your own sweatshirt (plain or with a design you’d like to cover)

Make it a Galentine’s date and sign up together, or join solo and meet other creative sewists. Either way, you’ll have a fun, relaxed evening surrounded by great company, cozy vibes, and lots of inspiration.

Who This Class Is For

This class is perfect for beginners, even if you’ve never sewn before. We’ll provide some light refreshments, machines, tools, guidance, and all the encouragement you need to make something totally unique. Sweatshirt and fabric is not included in the cost of this class. Fabric may be purchased in advanced or on the day of class at a discount.
