Get into the festive spirit with this cozy patchwork project! In this class, you’ll create your own patchwork tree OR present design using patterns from Flamingo Toes — perfect as either a charming mini quilt or a decorative pillow.

You’ll learn how to sew and trim half-square triangles, piece your block with precision, and finish it with simple quilting techniques. Choose to complete yours as a 24" pillow with an envelope back, or bind it as a mini quilt — either way, it’s a beautiful way to showcase your favourite fabrics for the season.

Pre-requisites

Completion of Machine 101, must be comfortable threading a machine on your own, capable of changing stitches and settings, comfortable with basic terms like backstitch and seam allowance.

Knowledge of operating a machine is required, if you have never used a machine before you must start complete our Machine 101 class prior to this class.

No prior quilting experience is required.

Tools needed:

• Rotary Cutter (45mm)
• Scissors
• Seam ripper
• Pins
• Clips 
• Clear ruler with 1/8" markings (we reccomend a 3"x24" or 6x24" rectangle)
• Heat or Water Erasable Pen 
• 1/4" foot for your machine
• Walking foot for your machine

You can bring your own machine or use one of our machines for this class.

If your schedule changes and you notify us by email at least 7 days in advance, we offer you a credit to be used towards a future class. If we need to cancel a class for any reason, your class fee will be fully refunded in this case only.
