Learn to Sew - Knits (Chatham)

Ready to tackle a stretchy garment? This 6-week course is for experienced beginners who are ready to take the next step into knitgarment sewing!
In this class, you'll learn the fundamentals of sewing knitclothing using modern, beginner-friendly patterns from indie pattern companies. Over the course of six weekly sessions, you'll complete two wearable knit garments and one fun accessory project.
Projects include:

You’ll gain hands-on experience with pattern reading, fabric cutting, stretch fabric techniques, elastic waistbands, hemming, and more— all in a supportive, encouraging environment.
There are no alterations offered for the projects made in this class, however we do have alternate projects available in straight fit (men's) sizing.
Pre-requisites
Pre-requisites: Completion of Machine 101 and Beginner Sewing I, or other prior experience with instructor approval. Must be comfortable threading and operating a sewing machine on their own. Must be comfortable reading pattern instructions.

Supplies
Sewing machines are provided for this class. Materials and tools are not included in the cost of this class.
A list of all the materials and tools needed can be found in the class syllabus. Please note that fabric for the first project must be purchased BEFORE the start of the first class. There is a 20% discount on all materials purchased for classes.
