Intermediate Sewing - Windsor

Build on your garment sewing skills in this intermediate level class.
In this series, participants will make a dress pattern of their choice and learn how to customize it to be their own. We will provide you with 3 dress options to choose from.
Skills Taught:
Types of fabric and choosing the right fabric for your project
How to alter a pattern for a perfect fit
Working with woven garment fabrics
Different ways to finish a seam
Adding and altering darts

Materials and tools are not provided for this class.
Tools needed:
- Universal Needles
- Scissors
- Pins
- Clips (optional but recommended)
- Rotary Cutter (optional but recommended)
- Marking Tool (Chalk/Washout Marker) that will show up on your fabric
- Seam Gauge
You can purchase a beginner sewing kit with all the tools required for this course or purchase individual items needed in store.
Let us know if you will be bringing your own machine or using one of our.
Please come in to the store prior to the first day of class to select your pattern and fabrics. Materials needed will depend on the pattern you choose.
This class is for adults, open to ages 16 and older.

Skill Details: | Completion of Learn to Sew, must be comfortable operating and threading a machine independently. Must be able to read a sewing pattern on your own. |
