Jogger Workshop - Chatham

In this 6hr workshop, participants will learn how make a hoodie using a sewing machine and a serger. Participants will learn techniques for sewing with knit fabrics, how to operate a serger, how to hem a knit garment and how to add cuffs.

Joggers can be made in a straight or curvy fit. Materials and a commercial sewing pattern are included in the cost of this course.

Completion of Machine 101 or previous sewing experience required.

*Open to participants ages 16 and up.

Materials are not provided for this class. You will need 2-3yds of a 2-way stretch fabric. 
A serger is recommended for this class, but is not required. A sewing machine is required in addition to the serger. 

Tools needed:

  • Stretch Needles
  • Scissors
  • Pins
  • Clips (optional but recommended)
  • Rotary Cutter (optional)
  • Marking Tool (Chalk/Washout Marker) that will show up on your fabric
  • Clear ruler of any size

Sewing Machines and tools are not provided for this class, you must bring your own.

If your schedule changes and you notify us by email at least 7 days in advance, we offer you a credit to be used towards a future class. If we need to cancel a class for any reason, your class fee will be fully refunded in this case only.
