Sewing with Knits - Hoodie (Windsor)
In this workshop, participants will learn how to make a hoodie using a sewing machine and a serger. Participants will learn techniques for sewing with knit fabrics, how to hem a knit garment, and how to add cuffs.
Hoodies can be made in a straight or curvy fit.
Advanced beginner level class, must be comfortable operating a sewing machine on your own and reading a sewing pattern.
*Open to participants ages 13 and up.
Materials are not provided for this class. You will need 2-3yds of a 2-way stretch fabric, if the fabric is low stretch then you will need a matching stretch fabric for the cuffs and band.
Machines are provided for this class.
Tools needed:
- Stretch Needles
- Scissors
- Pins
- Clips (optional but recommended)
- Rotary Cutter (optional)
- Marking Tool (Chalk/Washout Marker) that will show up on your fabric
- Clear ruler of any size
Tools are not provided for this class, you must bring your own.

If your schedule changes and you notify us by email at least 7 days in advance, we offer you a credit to be used towards a future class. If we need to cancel a class for any reason, your class fee will be fully refunded in this case only.
