In this workshop you will create a custom fitted sports bra. Learn how to use a serger on athletic fabrics, trace and cut a commercial pattern and use a 3-step zig zag stich. 

A copy of a commercial sewing pattern is included in this course.

This workshop is open to intermediate sewists, aged 16 and up.

Materials are not provided for this class. A choice of 2 patterns will be provided for this class. 

You will need .5yds of athletic knit fabric, if you would like to do costrasting accents then you will need .5yds of a contrasting athletic knit. Additional materials: .5yds of power net (optional) for additional support, .5yds lining, 3yds 1/4" clear elastic, 1yd 3/4" braided elastic, matching serger and machine thread, Knits must have at least 50% 4-way stretch. Materials can be purchased in store prior to class at a 20% discount off the regular price.
 
A serger is recommended for this class, but is not required. A sewing machine is required in addition to the serger. 

Tools needed:

• Stretch Needles
• Scissors
• Pins
• Clips (optional but recommended)
• Rotary Cutter (optional)
• Marking Tool (Chalk/Washout Marker) that will show up on your fabric
• Clear ruler of any size

Tools are not provided for this class, you must bring your own. 

Please let us know if you will be bringing your own machine/serger or using one of ours.
